Snubbed Earth

What is happening to this world that was so green and true?
They're chopping down the mighty forest, poisoning the sea once
blue.
No longer do we breathe clean air, or bathe in waters without a
care,
Every day the tabloids print, stories and scenes that do us
scare.

The ozone layer is now thin; natures changed her methodical ways,
Birth by creatures is now earlier, and sometimes twice in 90
days,
Changing weather as times go by, temperatures go from low too
high,
Has now turned this divine environment against us, and to slowly
die.

The greed of man has changed life, from the way our ancestors
knew,
Benefits that should be shared by all are now for just a selfish
few,
Man has spoiled this earth of treasures, and left an unfruitful
void,
This is now a world of shame; it should be nursed, and not
destroyed.
