Winter
The red and golden leaves that autumn bring have gone,
Tree branches stand out against the pale grey sky linger on,
Snow has fallen across this dead and ragged soil,
To embrace this once green and pleasant land but not spoil.
And from this view of grandeur brings life so rarely seen,
Rabbits and robins appear from nowhere upon the scene.
The quietness and elegance of the snow flakes as they descend
Brings peace and calmness into our life, which we hope will never
end.
The snow has now thickened and the landscape is at its worse,
Vehicles abandoned at the roadside by drivers, who have cursed,
People still carry on to do their daily task at work or school,
For they know that to survive, these duties cannot be left at
all.
Now soon this grand setting will depart this slumbering land,
The slight change in the weather tells us its close to hand,
These seasons happen every year upon this mighty earth,
Mother Nature will enchant us all with her mystic births.
