Chasing eyes

You looked at me,
I looked at you,
and we just knew,
right then and there
your eyes said everything that needed to be said, mine just
understood.
I'm not sure if they do now
Your eyes no longer look into mine
They keep looking away.
I tried to catch them,
When you threw them towards me, but you changed your mind and suddenly
pulled them back.
When we first kissed we somehow got hold of this cloud, that we started
sitting on. I kept my hands streched out, because I kept expecting to
fall, till one night you told me I wouldn't fall and if I did you would
catch me, but I fell, twice maybe even more. The first time we both
fell together, and landed softly onto an other cloud, which we made
home.
Every night we would see shooting stars and we would wish for eternity.
Nothing, I thought, felt better than that. Now, I'm not so sure.
This cloud seemed to get smaller, till you pushed me, and I had no
cloud.
I fell, broke everything that was breakable in my body.
Eternity became a lie.
You had given me a rose, pressed it against my heart, making sure I
would remember you. Guess what, I do!
Only the rose is turning black and its thorns leaving their
marks.
You look at me,
I can't look at you.
I look at you,
You can't look at me.
I can just remember the shooting stars falling in the night sky, and
how I don't want to fall again.
