Expands

The landscape expands,

rushing over undulating roads

it is hard to appreciate the 

shades of blue, the sparrows

silhouettes, the tree's claws

grasping at the clouds. 

All of it flies past windows;

T.V’s on fast forward,

soon concrete greys

will infiltrate. Hard.

Slabs. High. Walls. 

Buildings reaching,

casting shadows over

sapling trees in cages 

on the pavement. 

Chewing gum making

marks like abstract painting;

Jackson Pollock, 

jacked under doorways,

on stairways, hallways,

passers-by pass on by. 

The landscape expands.
