Its not enough

Dave walked out of Clapham Junction Station and turned right into
the direction of Lavender Hill. As he walked along the busy street he
could see Lavender and Hobbs department store.
It was a grey, overcast sort of day but Dave did not care. Inside he
felt warm and excited. He had found the girl of his dreams and was on
his way to visit her flat.
So much of his life had been spent in loneliness. He would look at
other people, see them together and wanted that for himself. For the
past eight years Dave had lived in a bedsit in Croydon. Over the years
people had come and gone but Dave stayed.
He had wondered if this was how he was going to end up. Sad and lonely.
On the outside looking out. Sometimes he would pass a house, brightly
lit, he could just about make out the family inside. The dog, the
children, the warmth, the love.
Dave wanted those things. Other people might say they wanted a nice car
or house. But not Dave, he just wanted an end to loneliness.
And now his wish had come true. He had fallen in love with Claire
within his first meeting. She was so attractive. She was dark, in fact
she could have been mistake for being Mediterranean even though she was
from Plymouth. She had shoulder length curly hair, lovely big eyes and
a mouth that was so sexy that Dave just wanted to kiss her lips.
She dressed beautifully and spoke beautifully. But it wasn't just the
physical appearance. She was warm, loving, emotional which Dave liked,
intelligent. To Dave she was everything that any man could wish
for.
And now she was his! It had to said that Dave had not had much luck in
most of his dealing with women. Getting one date for Dave seemed hard
enough, getting two dates felt like an impossibility.
He remembered one of his work colleagues once saying to him, ' Dave,
I'm really surprised you have problems getting a second date'
'Why?' enquired Dave.
'Because I can't imagine you getting a first date'.
Well, he had shown them. He could not wait to see his face when he took
her to the office part. It would be hilarious.
As he walked along Lavender Hill Dave felt part of the world. Those
couples he could see shopping together, walking together, sitting in
cafes drinking coffee together, he was just like them.
He has always gone to places by himself. Found himself being overlooked
but now he had Claire to go with. It was funny how people treated you
differently of you had a women with you, especially if the women was
beautiful.
After walking for ten minutes Dave reached Claire's flat and rang her
bell. Claire opened the door. She looked gorgeous. She was dressed in
black leather trousers with a white blouse open at the top to reveal
her ample breasts.
As he walked through her front door Claire flung her arms around him
and kissed him on the mouth.
'Dave I've missed you.
'It only been two days since we have seen each other'
'I know, but I still miss you'
They kissed again and then they walked into Claire's kitchen where she
poured him a glass of larger.
As Dave sipped his larger Claire talked about an argument she had with
her Mother.
'She wants me to go back home to Plymouth. There is no way I 'm going
home, especially now I've meet you'.
Dave smiled nervously. He had yet to meet Claire's mum and wondered
what she would make if him. He knew he was no great catch but they
loved each other and that what really mattered.
They chatted away. When they were together conversation just seemed to
flow. They could talk about anything. What was going on in the new,
sports, films, shows And they would laugh together. Delight in each
other company.
Claire took Daves hand and took him into her bedroom. Inside Claire put
her arms round Dave's neck and kissed him on the lips .As their kissed
their toungs s meet and rolled around inside each other mouths.
They undressed each and made love with an intensity and passion
Afterward they lay in bid for a while as lovers do. Stroking each
other, chatting, talking about nothing yet everything they said seemed
important.

Later as Dave was preparing to go he put something on Claire's
bed.
Claire picked it up and counted ?150.00
She turned to Dave and said 'It not enough Darling'
