MY MOTHER TAKES ME THERE
I enter her world.
Feed her with dollar bills;
slip them into her silver slit.
She rumbles out of apathy, I suppose,
while I pay my dues-
then she jolts awake
(almost always prematurely)
lunges me forward into her folds of
a polyester sanctuary.
I am enclosed in a metal womb,
that cradles me with the gentle gyrations
of a mother-
giving birth and fucking?
We pour in and out-
constant flow of life-
Her labor pains keep us unsettled;
Her contractions bring us closer
towards re-entry into solitude.
