Sometimes, circumstances, are taking you there

Sometimes, things just don't go to plan, sometimes there seem to be circumstances happening that are beyond our control and it APPEARS to create such a waste of time, resources, energy and others things... but, often, I have found that an unexpected twist in plans has taken me right where I needed to be for a precise moment in time, which would never have come to pass any other way. Each moment we live is but ONE and an ONLY ONCE EVER combination of people, time, event, place and story that will happen - but once. In other words: each combination of circumstances we meet exists for only one moment in time, never ever repeatable again... and if you are thinking otherwise, no, the date and seconds combination of the experience will never be the same again, ever.
For example: when I was singing at a memorial which was a 2 hour drive away from my base cottage. I had sorted everything, was running to get there, got in the car, got on through the toll, on to the freeway, and then - realised I had left my outfit behind. It was a last chance U-Turn onto the oncoming carriage way, back through the toll, grab the outfit, and head out again. Then a challenge at the toll because my card had already gone through the outgoing carriage way... then I needed a toilet stop and had to go off course to a nearby mall for the nearest relief station... I came out of the cubicle and standing there washing her hands was a lady, I smile, I recognise, I greet and we both realise we haven't seen each other since school more than 20 years ago in a very different town to this one... BAM - time, place, moment that was divinely intended. I did get to where I needed to be and had pleasure in singing to the life of the gentleman concerned.
This week, in a rush to get to the school uniform shop where I work at 15h20 to drop off props I borrowed, and then on to a store a 15 min drive away (both closing at 16h00), I opened my garage to get the car out and my neighbour's storage had fallen in front of the car. I hauled it back, went to the shop, went to the store to get off campus after a nasty week, then a grocery store in a separate village - the joys of living isolated. An hour and a bit later, in late afternoon sun, I got back to my place and could not find my keys anywhere...checked with security, got the Academic Head driving out to help me, got the school receptionist to help with locating spare keys, and then, after various key tries, found a replica of my one for my classroom and then, after another go, my cottage, then sorted a electricity room lock fault outside my classroom.. Then my Academic Head drove me back to my place in her car... And who was waiting on the lawn in front of my cottage in the car headlights? A beautiful adult rabbit. My aunt's favourite animal, on what would have been her 50th wedding anniversary that day; 4 years after COVID ended her battle against cancer ... Definitely an awesome sign of her on a special day... the bunny on campus only does the night run, like our 2 deer, day time is too much with the foot and car traffic all over the 270 hectare campus. It generally takes car lights to spot them in the darkness after sunset.
So I shared God's presence on a certain 50th anniversary date with my Academic Head in her car and we both thought it a beautiful story.
Reminded me of when a hoopoe flew next to my car on my grandad's would be birthday, and that was the bird my gran asked me to paint for him back in the 1990s. The delay for that one was the children I was taxi'ing had to have photographs taken, which was delaying our return to school and catching a milkshake before hand... BAM - divinely timed moment. Also the llittle bird that has visited me every morning I am in my cottage to let me know my Dad is safely and happily in heaven. Still gets me every morning over these 3 years...
I showed the Academic Head into the garage to see the annoying fallen stuff with my phone light and there was a glint from under my neighbour's ladder... from my cottage and classroom keys...they had fallen down when I was moving their camping thing from my car. BAM - time, place, moment that was divinely intended, and completely NOT what I had planned for my evening... but God's presence and divinity was stamp-marked on it all at the end of the day.
May He stamp incredible moments of HIS divine movements on your life too. Be Blessed!
