Rotting Dean, found ravaged by badgers
in the woods outside Chorley.
Organs dragged for miles.
Intestines tied in knots
and used as a skipping rope.
Poor Rotting Dean.
Decomposition of the once great composer
as his life's work unravels
to the sound of his ribs
being played in a ghastly atonal tune
by Jack Door, his friend from school
with a small reflex mallet.
