A Serpent Skin

am
cleaning
the
epidermal
matter
out
from
between
the
keys
on
my
keyboard
with
a
cotton
bud
and
wondering
whether
it
would
be
possible
to
eventually
recycle
a
whole
new
hand
from
this
waste
material
if
I
typed
enough
words
of
poetry
and
buffed
away
enough
flesh
like
the
regenerative
snake
who
slips
out
of
his
serpent
skin
leaving
behind
a
crackling
brown
sheath
as
a
feast
for
his
foes?
