GRAN'S GONE TO BINGO.
sneak.
Gran's gone to bingo.
Bin-going now for years.
A sea of blue hair rinses.
A queen amongst her peers.
On the pull at seventy.
Seductive toothless smile.
A cardigan from Oxfam.
So casual her style.
So fearlessly addicted -
to the marker pen.
A cataract of glances -
from admiring men.
Attentive to her splendour.
They play a different game.
Posing for attention -
by polished Zima frame.
But Gran is far too busy -
to notice their display.
Lines of concentration -
spell, 'Don't disturb my play!'
Unrivalled in her tactics.
Her speed cannot be beat.
She plays each game in triplicate.
Arthritis can't compete.
Wrist action to be proud of.
'She's seventy ya know!'
She will live forever.
'Cause she's living for Bingo.
...a residential care home.
She lays her head to rest.
The product of her winnings -
glitter in her nest.
The silence of the hour.
Her number soon they'll call.
Gran as gone to heaven -
to play their Bingo hall.
Happy winnings Gran (-;
