LATE EXPECTATIONS.
sneak
The fall of my defences,
the way she smothered me.
The height of satisfaction.
Her hormonal legacy.
The rain against the window.
This warm enticing bed.
Crawling into Monday -
just to pacify the dread.
The memory of passion.
The perfume in your hair.
Slaughtering our demons.
The love that we declare.
Whispering sweet nothings,
because anything will do.
I've little time for romance.
I've eternity with you.
Today was almost perfect.
If only you could breathe?
Everyone has different -
ways in which to grieve.
I'll bury you this evening -
when the night declares you gone.
My love for you immeasurable,
my expectations none.
