there was something about deborah that rachel could not figure out no matter how long she looked at her, she was ineluctable to the eye, invisible almost but she suspected something but could not define what that something was so mysterious she seemed, something about her she could not fathom as if she were trying to fathom the depths of the universe way back in time and space to the very beginnings of things when elohim hovered over the earth and soul as only as if she could not see into her, sometimes she could see exactly who was her lover, her alterego the imprints of which like footprints left the mark on her after they made love or even talked on the telephone, she could imitate her lover, kick in her male alterego, bisexual that she was, but could she really know and what did it matter it was all a matter of privacy anyway... nothing really mattered anyway, the world would pass away, the universal flow of energy would all end in the destruction of matter and the creation of dark matter, dark holes in the mind or dark pokes in the soul, nothing nothing could stop what was inevitable... the universe was moving toward chaos and inertia and it was the human duty to create order, structure, etc... it was all meaningless anyway, no one could do anything now... if it was one against all and She would win cause Game Theory was her speciality and Rachel was a genius who could easily have been a champion of chess although her problem was that she had simply intuited and she never set foot on paper to plan out her actions but Claire could do that... inevitably she would win... what was order, what was chaos but the structure of binary constructs which hid the fact that every order had a hidden chaos and likewise, she would construct and synthesize a game so obvious as to elude the eyes of her European counterparts.
