Full Moon

Full Moon
Rising light, pure and complete,
Above the shadowy mountains,
Reflecting in the bottomless lakes,
Casting silver over the plains.
Dream bringer, stealing through the night,
Creeping through half open windows,
Like a ghost in the darkness,
Touching the sleeper with filigree fingers,
Joining lovers with an unseen bond,
Caressing hair, touching skin,
Lighting eyes with shining light,
A sign of romance and love.
A beacon for the traveller, a guide,
To the free spirit on the road,
Surrounded by myriads of worlds,
In a veil of black velvet.
Stirrer of the seas,
Shifter of moods,
You reveal yourself,
In naked splendour.
Unclothed, naked,
You show your full beauty,
To the uplifted eye.
Oh, Full Moon.
