One kind act of mercy; one act to save my life
Stood in the rain, pouring from my eyes
Your open arms allow ice to enter your body
And we freeze ourselves together
My heart stops beating, merely shivers uncontrollably
The last drop of warmth falls and melts into the Earth
In your arms tonight, I feel so, so alone
As this rain burns through my skin to freeze my heart again
My only thought, my instinct tells me
Lie in the road. Curl up in a ball. Wait there to die.
Expecting to die when sweet death would not come
I woke with your arms around me
Curled up at my side. I don’t want to die anymore.
Not with you with me.
I may be a blasphemer, but I am not a murderer.
