as I open the office door
into a new week

I punch in my password
with such onomatic passion
that crumbs crunch
under my keyboard

Shouting small talk across the room
"nice weekend? &;#8230;good"
don't spoil the memories
by sharing it with Jeffrey -
who flies model aeroplanes at 43
(wife and 2 kids)
