In the sun

The rays of the sun 

Kissing my heart to it’s content

Musings of fun 

That has gone unspent

Leaving me at dusk

then remembering me at dawn 

Before my heart begins to rust

Relying on somewhere in the calm 

Beneath the harsh shadows 

Where I begin to mellow

Resting in the meadows 

With the company of a fine fellow

Somewhere in the ecstasy 

Lies a place that is meant for me

Reigning down like a barrage of flowers

hiding  within secret powers

Fears drowning from the sun

Withdraws the tears that begin to run
