In a field of golden buttercups
I watch the sun at play
dancing on there little petals
with there golden rays
as I watch them gently sway
in the soft summer wind
oh that golden haze
as I sit among the buttercups
watching them sway
I can hear the birds in the trees
at play
singing there sweet songs
I can feel the warm sun on my face
and see the sky so blue and vast
only the birds can I hear
I can see the butterfiles at play
all different colours
what a wondefully day
time for me to leave
as the sunset with it gold and red
and the peaceful sound
as the buttercups
are ready to sleep
and the birds
are singing there good night song
and this field slowly goes to sleep
in this summer heat
In a field of gold buttercups
I watch the sun at play
dancing on there little petals
with there golden rays
as I watch them gently sway
in the soft summer wind
oh that golden haze
