they talk about

they life was all about

drinking wine

they were not always sat around that table
they had to get on with life
living and loving eachother
as husbands and wives.

every so often
they
meet around that table
in that small cafe
out the back
undercover
drinking wine

there share kids and jobs
moving homes
lost and joy
they even talk about sin

they been doing it for years
evey so often
they go to that cafe
and sit out the back
uncover
talking to eachother

but one day
they
came inside
they
just said a passing word to eachother
they were no longer lovers
or husbands and wives
they lost the look
of that bright
new look of love in there eyes
something inside each one of them
had die

they got push along life river
and it did not stop
there were no life boats to save them
life river just hurt them
and burn them
deep inside

they all got walking sticks
and hearing aids
and one of them said
oh we were all lovers
young bright things
we were.

we were all good friends
and then we slept togeather

married and had familiys
but we just hurting
