sleep

i had a long day
its the end of the day
its nearly 12am
and i cant sleep again

no matter what i do
mr sandman wont say how do you do
everything i try
just wont shut my eyes

sleep oh sleep
i just want to sleep
i try everything in the book i could do

i try
shuting my eyes
counting the sheep
and still i cant get to sleep#

oh i put the radio
hoping that will work you know
but it just keep me awake
and now its nearly 2am

i get up to make a drink
and the dog want to be let out at 3am
and now i am awake again

i try
shuting my eyes
counting the sheep
reading a book
and still i cant get to sleep

i try kissing my honey goodnight
counting the stars
looking across the street
seeing who else cant get to sleep.

i try shuting my eyes
counting the sheep
laying my head
on my pillow to sleep
watching james stawart
in rear window
and now i am thinking of sheep
oh i just want some sleep
yean i really want so sleep.
