Unrequited Love
The taste of love is sometimes bitter
It seems as sweet as honey at the first taste
Then can turn bitter at another tasting
One cannot turn away
The lust and addiction is too strong to let be
Even when it is placed out of reach
Even though it is not returned
The craving cannot be denied
Cannot be sated.
But even in the bitterness
The memory of the first taste remains
And in that memory one can be sustained
In the illusion one can be in bliss
A sweet pain that begs to be endured
And so is welcomed
