The Wise Fisherman. The world is like a wise fisherman that cast out his net on the water. When he pulled back his catch he saw that he had caught a lot of small fish in his net. Amongst the tiny fishes he spotted one big one. He then proceeded to throw back all of the small fish and kept the big one for himself. He who has wisdom let him hear and understand the meaning of this story.
The Loving Shepherd. The Kingdom of Heaven is like a shepherd who had a flock of a hundred sheep. He then lost his biggest and fattest sheep. He left his flock in the field and kept on searching in the veldt until he found his lost prize sheep. When he had found his precious stray he told him, ‘I would rather lose all my other ninety-nine sheep than to lose a wonderful one like you.’ I love you more than all of them put together.
