Violence attracted me to this piece.  Alright, violence begets violence in the general even Biblical scheme but not episodically.  Consider this episode:  a village waged violence against my platoon and it begat violence against the village and when the villagers' friends saw the aftermath there came and end to violence in that village.  A full bird colonel toured that village and all he had to say was Holy shit.  I don't think you Tan were indicting all violence but violence in episodes.
