Why is it that parents refuses to help you when you turn 18? So do all parents wait till their child turn 18 to say bye your not mine anymore? That's how I'm feeling all parents are doing to their kids right now. Yes, I understand that we can do somethings on our own but not every thing. I just discovered something and I'm sure another 18 years old has discovered this problem as well. Say you're trying to get a loan for college right and you moved out of your mom's to live with your dad. You moved with your dad for a good reason because its more transportation and more places with employement. For college you need an W-2 letter and a IRS letter stating that your legal gaurdian paid their taxis. Your mom refuses to pay it and your dad can't do anything about it either. What happens if your child couldn't find anybody else to help them? Now they probably can't even go to school but its crazy because they actually want to go to college. At least their not one of those who just want to sit around and do nothing. We need education that's not what others understanding. So then what, your going to wait until were down to our last and on the streets to have no where else to be. Were 18 and still yours to take in. If your going through this same thing as well I suggest you call any councilers in that school to help, if your parents can't. I suggest you do everything on your own from now on. I feel if my parents not going to help since I turned 18 I feel your not my parents anymore. See how that goes, humm?
