One Fifty Eight
I had to call just one more time.
It's been awhile since I've seen you.
A shared love makes a man blind.
Your phone is ringing. I know it's late.
I've got to see you tonight,
same hotel, Room 158.
That angel's voice says "hello", so sweet and clear
I know you can't talk but you have to hurry up and get here.
So I hope you put your children to bed
And to him, you're going to see a sick friend.
Oh no honey, this is something that just can't wait.
But in her mind, she knows he's in the
same hotel, Room 158.
I didn't mean to call her at home.
That's one of the little rules.
Trying to share a woman is a game for fools.
I've sat and waited and watched the time pass,
When you are living two lives
you never know how long it's going to last.
So with that-no one to blame and
no one to hate-I lay in my lonely bed,
same hotel, room 158.
