"You're up early... I thought those are taboos for boys..." muttered Yuu, rubbing her eyes as she sits on her bed. The clock on her desk was showing the time 6.30 am
"I woke up on accident. Then I thought about getting ready early for once," replied Fran, his eyes on his phone, playing some games. Yuu did not reply, instead just sat there silently for a while before getting off her bed and make her way to the shower.
"..."
"Who... are you?" Fran asked as he saw a figure standing in front of him, back against him. The person seems to be a male, with black hair.
"A... Answer me! W - Who are you?!"
"...beware..."
"Huh?"
"Beware... for he is the person who defies god. The destroyer... of realms," the man has a very dark, deep voice- almost sounding like a lion's roar.
"Destroyer of realms? W - What do you mean- W - Who is it?" the man turned his head, revealing a void black sclera, surrounding the dull blue pupils. He opened his mouth, saying the name to Fran, but no sound came.
"I... I can't hear you. C - Can you repeat-" Fran's words were cut short as the world suddenly got torn apart by nothingness. The creepy silent that was surrounding him all those while was suddenly filled by screams- millions upon millions of screams blasting into his eardrums.
Fran tried cupping his ears with his hands, but it was futile. The screams seemed to easily seep through his flesh. He then screamed in a struggle to drown the deafening sounds around him. The next thing he knew, he woke up, heavily breathing like someone who had asthma.
Starting to calm himself down and telling himself that everything was just a dream, he took a very deep breath and released it. He then checked on his alarm clock in realised how early he had woken up; 5.15 am.
"I can't possibly go to sleep now, right? What should I do?" asking himself, Fran set his back against the bed's railing, before his vision trailed towards Yuu.
"A girl? Why is a-" it took him a few seconds to realise where he is now. Feeling dumb for not realising it, he facepalmed himself and chuckled. "Right. I'm not at home anymore. And tomorrow... will be my first day at this school..." he looked at his clock once again before deciding to take an early morning shower.

"The school's huge, isn't it?" Hikari commented as the three of them tries to make their way to the school hall. "Fifty classes, seventeen facilities, a literal underground residence, and free services. Heck, we even got an allowance. All in all, it feels really luxury living here," confirms Yuu.
"Probably something normal for you right, Ms Idol?" teased Fran as he tailed behind the two girls. Smirking, Yuu replied, "Actually, I prefer living in a very modest lifestyle. I'm sure you can see that on my desk."
"Sure then, Ms Modest Idol," the three of them smiled before laughing together.
It took them a few misguided turns until they reached the huge school halls. Inside were possibly almost, perhaps more than a hundred first-years hanging around in it.
"That's... a lot of students. For first-years? Definitely a lot," pointed Hikari as they make their way towards them. "Just me getting claustrophobic by these amounts of people or no?" complained Fran as he wipes his now sweating forehead before getting pinched by Yuu by the cheek.
"Pretty sure it's just you~" Yuu teased before she called Hikari and pointed the two towards three vacant seats. "Do you wanna sit there?" Not complaining, the two nodded before the three of them walked to their destination.
When they reached their seats, Fran saw his twin sitting in front of them, chatting with his friends. Smiling, he sat on his seat before tapping his brother's shoulder. "What's up? Looks like you're having fun," he greeted.
Guren turned his head and saw his brother. "Oh, nice meeting you here, bro. Guys, let me introduce you. This is my twin brother, Fran. Y'know, the one I told you guys about last night. Fran, these are my unit mates. The boy is Narukami Ren, and this girl is Yukira Rin" he introduced Fran to his friends and vice versa. Clear confusions were seen in his friends' eyes.
"Your sister? You meant you're her sister, right?" one of his friends tried to correct him. The boy has very goldish blond hair, styled in a spiky manner, with a bang covering his right eye partially.
"No no, he is my brother. He... kept his hair like that," Guren responded as he rolled his eyes to Fran, a trickle of sweat rolled down from his forehead.
Annoyed, Fran gripped his brother's shoulder and pressed it real hard, earning him a pained grunt from Guren. "What's with that face, huh!? You dare mock your big brother like that!?"
"I'm sorry I'm sorry!! Don't kill me like this!!" pleaded Guren jokingly. Fran then released his tight grip and introduced Guren to his friends.
"Your brother looks good, as a man. Are you sure you're a man Fran?" teased Hikari after she scanned Fran and Guren's faces. "Shut up. I am a man and will always be a man."
Looking at his brother, Guren chuckled before saying, "Seems like you're the one having fun~" Fran knew where his brother was going so he gave Guren a grim glare of death, one that sent chills down Guren's spine.
Not long after, one senior student stepped out from a curtain on the stage and tapped the mic, testing it. "Soundcheck, one-two. Soundcheck, one-two." After confirming that the mic worked perfectly, he called out to all students to silent themselves and focus.
"Welcome, to Soshi Academy. My name is Uesugi Takao, the student council president. All of you, roughly one hundred students, were the few chosen one to be enrolled in this school; a school built for the special ones, the one with powers- with Elements. I am sure most of you, if not all are familiar with that term by now, so without further ado, I invite the school principal, Mark Panthera to give his opening speech," the senior then stepped back before the school principal walked from the front seat towards the stage.
Once he reached the mic-stand, he simply stood there. All students were waiting for his speech, eagerly waiting, wanting to know what will he say. The principal seems to be mentally arranging his notes, making sure everything is in place. For precisely a minute, he stood there, silently before opening his lips.
"Elements. All of us knew what they were. Superpowers granted by gods to some lucky humans as a sign of responsibilities, or so it seems. Do we really know what these superpowers are? Where they truly come from? No, none of us in this world knew. Both science and beliefs have tried since millenniums, to proof the origin of these powers, but none had succeeded. They are not diseases, not some genetic mutation. They aren't passed down onto prophets only. In fact, many villains nowadays wielded Elements. If so, what are they? Why do we have it?" the principal opened his speech with a long question; one no one might be able to answer.
All students were trying their best trying to answer the question, perhaps even trying to figure out what was asked. Principal Mark sees this and smiled. "The truth is, we don't know. There are no true answers to this question, and perhaps there will never be. BUT in this school, you might just find the answers, at least for yourself. As I said, there are no true answers to this, but who says you can't answer this from your own understanding, your own standpoint? Batch 14 of Soshi Academy, I welcome you to this school, and may you become a true hero one day, and if you didn't, may you become a man of justice. Soshi Academy, where you'll come as a student, and leave as a hero, a saviour of your community." Everyone was clapping, even the students in charge behind the stage.
Principal Mark then left the stage and returned to his seat as the student council president reclaimed the mic.
The president then continued to explain the first years about their subject, their schedule, etc. As he was talking, Hikari tapped on Yuu's shoulder and asked, "Am I the only one who didn't understand what the principal was talking about?"
"Nope, you're not alone"
