So he took the piece of paper.

'What could he have wanted me to know?'

It read:

'Don't do it. That's right, don't. I know what they've been telling you all this time. Go for it, you can do it, we believe in you. It's not true. It's all been lies, it's all another form of control. The more you believe in yourself, the more you work for them. The more you do, the more of their work is completed. It's time to stop, just don't do it. Think.

Where does it stop? You keep pushing this boulder up the hill and eventually you realise it wasn't a hill at all, you've just been pushing a boulder that was never going to move in the first place.

Stop, think, it's over now and it's beginning. You are the first step.'

He put his hand down and chaos ensued.
