One Day

One day there will be peace on this earth,
There will be no war, no conflict,
No shedding of blood.
There will be no fear, no need for redemption,
There will be no anger.

One day there will be peace on this earth,
Children will not know of racism,
Of hate and prejudice.
They will not know of violence or crime,
They will not need the law.

One day the pacifists dream will be lived,
The earth will stand calm,
No more wounds will be inflicted,
No more harm will occur.

And one day the sun will not rise,
The dawn will not break,
Nor the news be made,
Or the people breathe.
On this day there will be peace on this Earth.
