As George boarded the plane for New Orleans, he thought about this
being a good job with some bad characteristics. The good parts were the
pay, the huge expense account, and the high profile of a trouble
shooter in a Fortune 500 company. George could terminate branch
managers on the spot. He was respected and feared. He was probably
hated by those whose fate he held in his hands. Maybe that was a bad
part of the job along with his frequent absences from Betty, his wife
of 14 years, and their 3 lovely children.
The plane landed on time. George was met by the obligatory limo and
driver who whisked him to the hotel to freshen up before the 4:00 p.m.
meeting.
The meeting was attended by the branch manager, Ed, his assistant, and
a secretary, Felicia, who would record proceedings from the meeting.
Felicia got George's attention by playing footsie under the table. By
the time George had fired Ed, Felicia and George were exchanging
excited glances.
When George called in accounting and finance, Felicia sat beside
George. She frequently brushed against him. Her feminine wiles were too
much for George. He began to succumb.
Felicia was beautiful. George was smitten. When the meetings concluded,
Felicia accompanied George back to his hotel where they quickly jumped
into bed and made mad passionate love until they were exhausted and
sleep arrived.
During the night, they would awaken and resume their wild acts. George
felt no guilt, just animal, lustful desires that had to be satisfied.
Finally, he became totally unresponsive and entered a sleep somewhat
akin to a coma.
When he awakened, the room was filled with big city sounds and lots of
sunshine. Felicia was not in bed. George kenw this was a one night
stand, but half expected to find Felicia when he opened the bathroom
door. There was no one in the bathroom, just a message written on the
mirror in lipstick saying: "WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF AIDS.... ED."
