Crystal RainDrop

Crystal glass container, so fine and clear
Holds all she is, even her tears
Her hopes and dreams her secret thoughts
She protects within that crystal raindrop
No one has an inkling how much it means
A simple thing she holds it seems
Nurtured from years long gone
She holds on tight, tis hers alone
It gives her will strength along the way
She kept it close to her soul every day
It never travels far from her sight
It holds the dreams she sees at night
It was once such a goal of life, a pathway
Alas, how could it be, it's slipped away
And now it rests shattered at her feet
The crystal glass so fine and clear and sweet
Would never be again, this hope she relished
No one would know the treasure she'd cherished
It would be the same, if only untouched again
But to hide such beauty away is a deadly sin
To live again she must spill forth the contents
Holding the fragments in her hand she now relents
And lets loose the true heart she has long hidden away
Fly free hope, from the bonds set about you
And feel love once again as the crystal raindrop allows you
