His Hands

To communicate with us,
he must learn a new way
of speaking as he cannot hear
from being born to this day.

But somehow he manages,
and does so with skill.
Each movement that he makes now
I'd love to learn and know I will

His hands alone are beauty,
and certainly unique,
though still I wish that sometimes he
for just one day could hear me speak.
