I can't have you, but I can still want you

To see your smiling face
Every time I walk near,
Or to know that one distinctive voice
I just love to hear.
You're always on my mind
I love to think of you,
You fill me with such pleasant love
That no one else can do.
I say 'love', yet can it be
That word which means so much to me?
The one that means forever more
Our hearts will be no longer tore?
Though I know I cannot have you,
I'll forever, always want you.
You are to me, just you see
More than anyone else could ever be.
I write this poem just for you,
In hope one day you'll see it too,
So then you'll know how good you've been
And what to me you really mean.
I write this poem just for you,
because I know that you feel too.
Maybe not the way I do
But from what together we've been through!
You deserve so better than me
someone who I'll never be.
Someone who means as much to you
As much as to me you do.
