Lessons of life

My two month old son managed to teach me or should I say remind me of some of the most basic lessons of life like it is important to live for the moment and to take pleasure in the simple things. It is amazing to watch how much looking at the mobile hanging over his baby cot fills him with delight or how happy he is when he gets to run his hand across the leaves of trees in our porch.He , like most babies , suffers from colic and reflux and sometimes gets really painful stomach cramps. I am surprised when I see him screaming in pain one moment and smiling the next moment with all memory of his pain forgotten.I am learning from him to take pleasure in the simple things of life that we forget to appreciate as we get caught up in the humdrum of everyday life and chores..He has also taught me that life will be better, happier and richer for me if I can forget all my painful memories
