I’ll mark your survey as feels indifferent

Dogs run up and down on the high street
In front of shops freshly boarded closed
Mothers drag shoeless/ shirtless toddlers in a sight you must behold
In the electric goods shop window on a multitude of screens
A slimy politician apologies for acts unhealthy and unclean
He really isn’t sorry
It’s more than hinted in his eyes
A congregation of journos contentedly swallow up the lies
The dogs fight over loose bin bags that should’ve gone three weeks yesterday
I sit in the bay window frantically wishing things would go away
Just an involuntary celibate who can’t be arsed to clean
I have faults that I should fix with the aid of a paying Fruit machine
I sit and gorge on last night‘s pizza before it turns to mold I do nt really mind though it tastes better when it’s cold
I am only 27 why the hell do I feel old
Bored of my own company in the musty old front room downing a bottle of Jack Daniel‘s to obliterate the gloom
I ve been jack jones so long now
In this sad and sunken town
If you smile upon the High Street people look back and frown
The diet starts tomorrow if I could only give a damn and I d tell the boss to stick it but it’s just not the way I am
