Playing In April's Eyes

April played, April sang
April Danced and April Ran.
Lit under the midnight moon
April wove stories
Like a butterflies cocoon.
Watched by the owls April played.
Away from her home, her life
Her once innocent days.
Then April grew
At once she flew
Away into the world
She thought she knew
Pure as water and blank as paper
Cities tore her soul apart
Till Aprils songs and games were gone.
Sunk into an ocean of life gone wrong...
In a place a prejudice and shame.
Now April plays a different game.
