Wasted Responsibility

Scared, he carries on running,
Away from feelings, responsibilities.
He doesn't want to know anymore.

A love, once so pure, ruined by fear.
Disillusioned, he lets it go,
Not caring if he hurts her.

She crys now, alone, confused.
Wondering why he left her,
Wondering what she'd done wrong.

Now they are both alone.
He, scared of commitment.
Her, not wanting to trust.

Will either be happy again?
