Ethereal

so far away, yet too close
as the thunder rolls harder
lightning divides the sky
deep down in the ocean
farther than forever
farther than fantasy
she lies
pure, untainted
hard, weary
this goddess child
but a fallen star
so very young...
yet so very old
let the heavens call out
let the skies open and cry
tears of wonder
let the earth tremble
beckon to her
let the fires eternally rise
for her
beautiful
