A Little Prick
"It's just a little prick!"
The Asian lady doctor told me as she prepared.
Oh! 'They all say that', I thought.
"Turn your cheek" she commanded,
encapsulating the Christian thought of ages.
I did, obeying her of my own volition, for my own good - to make me a
better person.
She drew closer. I stayed where I was.
She raised her hands to my face
A small caress - then - violation, STING!
Thrust sharp into my flesh, sucking at my being.
'Turn you head' she commanded
Then did it again!
I turned the other cheek
I did not flinch
I was resolute
Calm.
She soothed me,
Contrite, helpful, now she'd got her way.
"Take this" she gave me something "keep it close"
I left, and as I turned, I threw her gift away.
stained with blood.
Without a word.
But tell me - when the samples are analysed, where will she be?
Violating some other victim?
Undoubtedly.
That is her task.
