H: Moving on

She paced from room to room as if she was searching
For a forgotten promise with that faraway look upon her face
A hidden tear formed in those misty grey eyes she looked
Through all those dusty books in the attic
Maybe the answer was there entombed in some great-unsolved
mystery
Could it be in the cellar, like unspoken words ready to be
rediscovered
A voice called her sweetly as she swept her flaxen hair away from her
face
Like a veil of deep sorrow
Baby is that you she whispered gently with tears nursing a broken
heart
She stepped slowly towards the wardrobe as if it led to a portal
Into the next world, it was a fragrance of a lost future
She fell to her knees to pray to anyone who might listen
The loss was so great that all the worlds' oceans would not comfort her
pain
She reached out to touch that hand from the distant shadows
She paced from room to room to face the darkness of today
To bring the light of tomorrow into her world
Time to move on
