Oasis of Love

Desert sands tell me stories of ancient times
Those palm
trees talk of loves of long ago
Your lost oasis can it quench
the soft desire of love
Pyramid point to that hazy star
Water the desert with tears
Shifting sands bury the
promise my heart has made
The treasure of loves eyes
Beyond the sand dunes, behold the city
Where this
desert Princess dwells
If loves flying carpet could hasten me
to behold you
In the forecourt of your love
Let not
palace walls or minarets imprison those lips
That came to me
in the deserts silence
Though nights be cold the gentle
embrace of love
Would warm this sea of enchanted sands
Desert winds tell me stories of ancient times
White
camel carry my loved one to the Bedouin tent
That I may kiss
the hand that would still the deserts rage
Look to the
horizon where this desert rose blooms
Let this oasis of love
be watered until time is no more
