Scorpions Kiss

Look at the river as it flows, look at the tears behold the rose.
The heart of love once it has fled, only to sleep with the
forgotten dead.
Did this heart once wear a ring, or did it
succumb to the scorpion's sting.
The poison kiss laid down
its throne and took possession of its own.
The dark ladened
night with those soulless eyes stole from you life's precious prize
The lover hides his cloak of charms and hastens away to
another's arms.
A sting so sweet that fades away, like loves
sweet promise ends in decay
Loves broken heart takes time to
mend, though you search in vain for the rainbows end.
The
dark scent of night and that bitter refrain the brooding stars, which
no man can tame.
How bitter sweet the taste of love, now
takes to the skies, oh tainted dove.
The sun must rise on
eyes that weep, with the passion of love yet to keep.
Loves
venom in you does flow, frozen for time in the virgin snow
The sting that burns the heart of a fool drips with honey,
but its end is cruel.
Loves sweet story once was bliss,
betrayed it was by the scorpions kiss
