our world is swathed in one color

your bland smiles barely veil
the lonely girl trapped inside a colorless dome
everything
is
pale

the roses that dance on your hair
and mope on the coffin
tears of joy and of sorrow
flow into the
same
grey
river

I know you're sick of all this

it's not much of a revolution but
i'm screaming to God
care to lend me your voice?

maybe we can someday shatter the lifeless dome.
