DROP

DROP
From the sky
The heavy clouds
Slopes
Of the Winding hills
Buckets
Tiny drops
Droplets
What is it
That we get?
Warm and
Sometimes cold
When?
In summer and winter
Is water
Quenches the thirst
Of traveller in a desert
Drop of water
Drop and droplets
Very scarce resource
A paradox
Water, water everywhere
But not
A drop to drink
Doesn't help you
Relax
But make you think
Collect drop
Droplets in a bucket
Can pile up
Make you jump
With delight
Drops can be fulfilling
Cooking and drinking
Can't be taken 4 granted
In times of scarcity
Created by drought
Can be much appreciated
Even the droplets
Can seem plenty
We witness
People wash cars
And water gardens
At same time
We see millions
Thirsty
Scorched earth
No vegetation & livestock
People get sick
Hear them cursing earth
Trek with their flock
Seeking green pastures
Travelling long distances
To feed themselves & others
Consequence of not
Conserving water
Plenty of it
Can force us say
Water, water everywhere
But not a drop to drink
If not judicious
with its use
Could be called callous
When millions
Don't even get droplets
Let alone plenty to drink
Drop, drops, droplets
Become scarece commodity
Conserve water
Will be plenty
Drop, droplets
Will then valuable assets
Respect
For water and its use
Will assume significance
Drop, drops , droplets
Here & everywhere
Lots of water to drink & cook
Will then
Be the new slogan?
But only
If we adhere
To the above plan
