SHELIUM

i call my sheila, shelium
because she's such a gas
she floats around above the ground
a buoyant kind of lass

and when i breathe her glory
she will make my voice grow high
a lilting laugh that telegraphs
the joy that's passing by

but jenny was a different type
i called her hydro-jenn
because that dame would quickly flame
and i would burn up then

its funny how one molecule
can such a difference make
a gentle lift or violent shift
my universe to shake

and so i cherish shelium
i'll state as much again
don't miss the life of woe and strife
i had with hydro-jenn
