DOLLHOUSE

it only took a little spark
that turned into a flame
then flame turned to inferno
no one knew just what to blame
.
the house, once wood and shingles
turned to ashes of the same
the house declared a total loss
before the firemen came
.
but here's where it turned eerie
in the house that quickly burned
there was a sole survivor
which was rapidly discerned
.
in the center of the chaos
where conflagration churned
was a lovely little dollhouse
that the licking flames had spurned
.
that night there was a rainstorm
clouds in anger, were upset
as it fell upon the stricken site
the dollhouse got quite wet
.
as the new day made its entrance
mother nature paid its debt
the dollhouse grew, as if a seed
as big as it could get
.
the family that lived there
when returning, in surprise
saw a brand new house prepared for them
before astonished eyes
.
so listen to your heart
before reciting last goodbyes
for miracles can happen
if you look up to the skies
