What do YOU think

I saw blood, seeping through his perfect shirt. When l told him, he made up this story about shaving his chest and 'must've caught that wee scar of mine'.
Eh?
He's lying ..
Ages ago this guy got involved with an Asian female. When he was lonely, vulnerable. Then a few things happened that resulted in him getting a restraining order on her. Remember l told you she did a bit of stalking me at work?
I can feel it in my bones. It's her. I know it is.
'So. How did you get that scar. Was it your ex. Did she hurt you'.
'You're so fucking dramatic. Go on. Fuck off. Sick of all the same crap every time we have a nice drink. I work all week an' just want bit peace instead of you going on n on'.
Alcoholic Saturday strikes again. A few bevvies and he's off.
I tried and failed to explain that it didn't make sense to me why he'd say that and what was the actual truth. Then l remembered something. He said one time that 'she'd stab me before she'd stab you'. Oh no. I think that little piece of nobbly scab was a puncture wound. And it's bleeding, here, in the restaurant. But he's totally lying then making out l'm being dramatic.
Best thing, get up and hug it out. Say your sorry and finish your drink, l think to myself. He'll calm down. It was in the past and he's not admitting anything.
'Truth is, her son shot at me with a pen gun'.
'What's a pen gun, and why did you lie about the shaving'.
'Right. Had enough of this. Don't start. You live in the past. Fuck you'.
Another Saturday night, ruined with the drink. If we were sober, maybe l wouldn't have interrogated him and he'd not be defensive. Trouble is, l also work for him.
Wake up on Sunday morning to a text message from 1.49am. Great. An apology?
'Sick of your dramas. Shit relationship and don't bother to come back to shop'. Spoken like a guilty man caught with his pants down, alright.
I'll sort myself out, but it's all too weird. Creepy, even.
Or maybe l AM said drama queen.
