A Thief's Kiss

I am here to do a dastardly deed
with a group of idiots in
tow.
Stripping a stranger of things he'll need.
The
trick is to not let him know.
A rub on the subway
and a deflection and bump;
while the fine lady catches your
gaze.
All a distraction to loosen your lump
of cash
that you've patiently saved.
So, walk at a brisk
pace and be in a rush;
and talk on your phone to finish a
deal.
We choose our victims and speak in a
hush;
always looking for new ways to
steal.
The gleam of a watch and the shine of gold
rings;
may bring danger out of its home.
The players
in my troup will covet your things,
so skilled, they make
valuables roam.
Don't take it personal and don't get
upset;
when precious things come up amiss.
My crew
isn't choosey and has not regret;
as they place on you the
thief's kiss.
