After hours of driving trying to figure out one thing or another it
came to him and he drove back home. Slowly the rest of his life dawned
on him in slow recognition. Something about money, whatever that was,
they-he did something with money. Money was something, something he
used and it was given to him for one reason and taken away for another.
He had trouble keeping it at a normal level, like the blood sugar and
moods and&;#8230;
The floor was covered with bank envelopes, these were the reminders
that he was broke. He sorted through them and made a house of cards out
of them, he couldn't remember how to read them. Getting up he looked
for food. Something was in the fridge and he had no idea if he could
eat it. What it would do if he ate it. It was rectangle or box or
something, it was shape. He pick it up and licked it. It had no
pleasant taste, that meant it was good for you. He sat for an hour with
the carton of milk in his hand trying to figure out if he was suppose
to eat it or not. If not, what was he suppose to do now? He didn't
know. What was he again? He didn't know. A knock at the door awoke him
from the thoughts and he walked to where the noise came from and opened
the door by reflex. It was a fat man, this man must have ate things
that tasted good. He wanted something that tasted good and didn't care
if he looked fat. The man was the landlord to kick him out. He listened
intently to what the landlord had to say and he nodded along with each
word.
"So, I can't sleep here anymore."
"No."
"Where can I sleep now?"
"I don't know. You don't have anyone you can stay with?"
"Stay with?"
"Yeah, what about all those people who used to come by and have parties
with you?"
"People for parties?"
"I'm real sorry, but you have to leave."
"Have to leave?"
"Yes." The landlord walked back up the stairs.
"Can't sleep here tonight." He looked up the stairs at the footsteps of
the landlord.
Later was dark and cold. He decided to start walking. He walked in the
direction of the ocean, although he didn't know it. The people were
out, the people of this land and they were groovy. He found them
groovy, mostly he just found him. The first person was&;#8230;
"Grant."
"Hello, Grant, I'm&;#8230;I'm Grant, too."
"Hey, sounds like a buddy to me, so you want anything?"
"Anything, yes, I want anything."
"Yeah, and what do you want?"
"I want anything."
"You're too much."
"No, I'm Grant."
"Well, Grant, how about some ecstasy?"
"Ecstasy?"
"Yeah, mighty fine."
"OK, can I have some ecstasy?"
"You can buy some ecstasy."
"Buy some?"
"Yeah, with money, you got money, right?"
"No, that's why I'm walking and have no place to sleep."
"Fuck, if you're homeless, where'd you get the suit?"
"I just got homeless."
"Yeah?" Grant began counting pills and looking around the block for
perspective buyers. "That's a shame."
"It was nice meeting you, Grant."
"Wait, there is something you can do for me."
"Sure, Grant."
"Do you want some money, so you don't have to walk anymore?"
"Sure."
"K, listen, can you give a blowjob?"
"Blowjob?"
"Yeah, can you give one?"
"I don't know what that is."
"Well, I'm not gonna teach you. You'll figure it out. Meet me here
tomorrow and I'll hook you up with this rich queer. Big money, big
money. How about fivish, right here?"
"Sure."
"See you then, and wear the suit."
"K." Luckily he had no idea what fivish was.

Anywho&;#8230;they were fishing in the stream when the rains came.
These rains came slowly pouring down the last length of sky and out
towards the ocean. The ocean being made exclusively of rain. Oh, they
were sad like everyone else. And they bitched and moaned like everyone
else. But, then they were human and humans have a way of&;#8230;oh,
well you see they sat in a small bracket of silence near peace and they
held hands and they exchanged salivates and winks and kisses
and&;#8230;towards nightfall they ended up on the bed of the creek
in what can only be described as a very long hug&;#8230;later in the
evening they looked up upon the stars and there found such a small
light of&;#8230;shining&;#8230;.they
were&;#8230;.shining&;#8230;the light
