WITHIN ME

Some things in life aren't quite what they seem,
When at a first glance, they may glitter and gleam.
Look closer, look closer. Look closer still.
Until you see the pores breathing,
On my flush, red skin.
Enter me.
Skip through the jungle, until you find an open wound,
Beneath the dense, under growth,
Twisted and locked together,
Like, a thousand orgasmic lovers.
Find the gushing stream,
Warm like a geyser, restrained by flesh.
Jump into the mainstream, to be carried by the hype,
Can you see the poison there that waits to take my life?
A thousand beats per minute, sounds like a purring cat.
Louder, closer, louder still, as you close in on what?
Beckoned by a demon, drawn closer ever more.
Like a speeding ray of light, approaching heavens door.
I call upon you to make amends,
Heel me from within.
Without your help, my creation dies,
I'll just sit and stare, and glare, and grin.
