You

In you there is stillness. I find the balance
At which the bubble steadies and slows
At the apex. The spirit level,
Paradoxically, startlingly present
Here. A place, a part of me now.
Everywhere I am, you are. As the bubble
Bobs against the perspex roof,
So you press up against my heart. I can find no words
To say what I should say, never as obvious
As the measurements a draughtsman makes,
Using plumb and line. The eye,
Catches the light shining through,
Gauges the mark, deft in the balancing
And structure.
Building visions, I should have seen this form much sooner,
But only now it comes:
I love you. I love you. I love you.
