Ghosts of easy prey

Wherehap does more beauty lie
Than in the land's most wondrous eye
A clearest pool of sunfilled light
Does bless us with the purest sight
Reflections in this shivered mirror
Cast coloured shadows so more clear
Than that which does the shadow spill
So that his heart may once more fill
That which enters will not release
But underneath the surface keep
A perfect image more than true
Within a wealth of clearest blue
Dark shadows at the bottom claim
The faded realms of this domain
Their watchful eyes to surface stay
With thoughtful quiet of easy prey
